August 29th, 1958 was the date when the world was blessed with a future star - Michael Joseph Jackson. He was the 7th child of Joseph Walter Jackson and Katherine Esther. Rebbie, Tito, La Toya, Randy, Jackie, Jermain, Marlon, and Janet were his other siblings. His tragic death at the age of 50 left the whole world in a state of shock and the music industry suddenly had to fend off a huge surge in the music of Michael Jackson. The initial signs of his amazing musical talent were noticed when he did a performance at the tender age of 5 during a Christmas party in school. When he turned 6, he played the congas and the tambourine with his other brothers as part of the group the Jackson brothers. When the group became the Jackson 5, he was eight years old and was the lead singer.

The group Jackson 5 then released its first album with famous songs like 'Big Boy'. Jackson 5 then signed with the label Motown records in 1968. 4 years later, MJ, under the Jackson 5's franchise, released solo albums and 2 of them, 'Got to be There' and 'Ben' became very famous.

Quincy Jones, who turned out to play a pivotal role in Jackson's road to fame released 'Off the Wall' with MJ in 1979. The same year, Michael Jackson had an accident while performing a tough dance step and had to go for rhinoplasty surgery.

Three years later, Michael Jackson released the most successful album of all time - Thriller. It sold over 109 million copies worldwide and is still being sold the world over. Michael Jackson then suffered his most horrifying accident ever when he succumbed to 2nd degree burns on his scalp during a shooting of a commercial for Pepsi in 1984. The same year, the then President of the United States, Ronald Reagan gave an award to MJ for his work in supporting charities.

The stage had floral agreements with photos of Jackson and Jackson 5 was projected on the screen behind. The memorial service had Jackson's siblings and youngsters al present in the front row. A video was presented featuring Jackson's Neverland Ranch and his meeting with Ronald Reagan followed by videos of his super hit albums and scenes from his film "The Wiz". Stevie Wonder sang songs from his album "Off the Wall" and also albums which they co-wrote. Kobe Bryant, Martin Luther King Jr's youngsters and Sheila Jackson-Lee ( representing the US House of members ) appreciated Michael for all his charitable work and honored him by mentioning that he used to be a true world humanitarian.

Other guests who spoke for Michael were Magic Johnson and Brooke Shields and performances by John Mayer, Usher, Jennifer Hudson and Jermaine Jackson. All of the celebs and people close to Michael were present to pay their homage to the star of radio, rock and videos. Jackson's family addresses the bunch and his girl Paris Jackson spoke to the guests with respect for his father.
