Michael Jackson-In the closet

Michael Jackson-In the closet
Michael Jackson's sudden death was a shock to everyone; his family, his fans, his business associates and colleagues.  From the start Michael's death appeared suspicious with varying rumors of prescription drug abuse, a live-in doctor and strange 911 call and even evidence the singer had been having nightly anesthesia in order to induce sleep from chronic insomnia.  As the celebration of his life and moving funeral move into the background, I feel it is almost inevitable that there will be at the very least a wrongful death trial and very likely manslaughter or murder charges brought upon one or more individuals within the coming weeks.

Why There Will Be a Trial

A man of such enormous celebrity, success and means as Michael Jackson leaves a tremendous mark on society and the many lives he affects.  Michael's special place in the popular lexicon will mean the Jackson family will do everything they can to protect the sacred memory of Michael and pursue with vigor any doctors that might have broken laws with their prescribing or medication use that contributed to Michael's death.  In addition, with a 50 concert tour worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and reported hundreds of millions in debts owed by Jackson, there is tremendous financial incentive to pursue anyone in which there is a remote possibility of responsibility for his death.

The Players

The reports of numerous medications being dispensed to Mr. Jackson under fictional or employee names and provided by an assortment of different doctors means the shark lawyers for both the Jackson family as well as the concert promoter, AEG will have plenty of targets to pursue in a wrongful death suit.  Even more central to the story is the apparent 'doctor for hire' living with Mr. Jackson, Dr. Conrad Murray who varying reports suggest might have actually provided or at least injected Propofol, the highly dangerous anesthetic to Mr. Jackson.

Reports suggest the doctor is not cooperating with police and everyone is waiting for the toxicology tests to come back to see if it was Propofol that killed Mr. Jackson.  Further reports that a chef in the Jackson household saw Dr. Murray with tanks of oxygen, which apparently is used while administering Propofol fuels speculation that charges could be brought up against the doctor if a link can be proven between him and Michael's death.

It goes without mentioning that there are two other potential sources of suits against the doctor or other doctors.  First is the Jackson Family who will likely want to place blame away from Michael as well as potentially be awarded a large cash verdict from the doctor's insurance companies should they or he lose any trial.  This is in the interest of the Jackson children as well as all those who benefit from the estate left by Mr. Jackson.

Secondly, the concert company AEG who Jackson had a contract with for 50 concerts at the O2 Arena in London will pursue any legal avenues to recoup the lost millions they would have made from the concerts.  While they reportedly had insurance for the shows, it is unclear of Michael's death, whether accidental or via 3rd party would qualify them for renumeration.  Targeting the doctors either via a civil trial regardless of the criminal outcome is almost guaranteed.  Make sure to stay on top of the latest developments in the Michael Jackson investigation at www.michaeljacksonmurdertrial.comwww.MichaelJacksonMurderTrial.com

Michael Jackson & Britney Spears The Way You Make Me Feel

Michael Jackson & Britney Spears The Way You Make Me Feel
Michael Jackson caught the hearts of millions all over the world for decades. He was born on 29th Aug. 1958 and was probably the first person to reach the mythical heights he did and achieve such an iconic standing. He changed the way people understood music and impressed so many all around the world. He was famously called the'King of Pop'. When Michael latterly died, he left many heartbroken and craving for his return. You can buy Michael Jackson shirts in his memory from www.mjmerchandise.info as a way to remember him and what he did on behalf of the planet.

Michael's career in music started at the early age of five when he became the lead vocalist of his father's group the Jackson five. The group had Michael's four elder brothers and Michael himself. A company called Motown Records organized music gigs in several bars and clubs and helped the group to show off their talent and helped them get a break into the music scene.

Jackson 5's first set of songs were a huge hit and reached the number 1 position almost instantly. This was an extraordinary accomplishment for the group. Towards the end of the seventies, Jackson five decided to split from Motown records and teamed up with classic Record. But they were made to change their name to the Jacksons as they couldn't keep their previous name due to contractual agreements with Motown. Young Michael Jackson was the star of the group and robbed folks's hearts with his voice and magical dance moves.

Michael also had an awfully passing stint in the films when he sang a lead song for a film called'The Wiz'. He met Quincy Jones here. Quincy turned out to be the person that made Michael Jackson what he's now.

In the eighties, Michael decided it was time to go solo. His album'Thriller' that came out in 1982 still remains the best-selling album ever. He absolutely revolutionized the concept and application of music videos. His music videos soon became as popular as his songs due to the graphic and creative effects he used. His dance moves like the moonwalk still leave people amazed and stunned as to how he could perform them.

He had a lovely relationship with his fans. He also took his relationships with his staff, bosses, dancers, choreographers, make up artists, etc gravely. He gave them a lot of love and they loved him as much in return.

Michael Jackson - Who Is It ?

Michael Jackson - Who Is It ?
I saw an interview the other day with Donnie and Marie and Donnie was a little irritated when was asked his opinion about Michael Jackson. You could tell he didn't want to get into it and expressed as much by replying that the king of pop had "a terrible life and a worse death," I guess because of all the media scrutiny surrounding his death. This is all true I'm sure to a certain exten, but there has always been a little trace of envy Donny Osmond had towards Michael Jackson and the Jacksons for at one time in the 70's he and Mike were equally famous, but as time wore on Mike's star continued to rise and Donny's star all but fades away.

Now in the 70's the Osmonds were considered the white version of the Jackson 5 almost matching them tit for tat. Both were big families full of talented youngsters, both started their singing careers early(the Osmonds with more visibility showing up on the Mickey Mouse Club) and both had younger siblings as lead singers of the family group (Jermaine and Michael for the Jacksons, Jimmy and Donny for the Osmonds). Both groups had a string of hits during the 70's and both graced every teen magazine in the world practically! Hell, I even had a couple of Donny Osmond records in my collection as well as Michael Jackson so that shows how popular both were. Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson were two of the most recognizable teen stars in the world and both seemed poised for mega-stardom. So the big question is; what the hell happened with Donny? Well two things; t.v. and the 80's.

First of all The Jacksons and Donnie and Marie (Donny's kid sister) had t.v. shows in the mid 70's or so. They were variety shows that were popular in the 70's but were often frequented by show-biz personalities who were in the twilight of their careers and for newer stars they were make or break (generally break) opportunities. Well Michael hated the show he had to do and opted out when their contract was up, but Donnie who didn't care to do the show either but had a longer obligation than the Jacksons did (four seasons I believe) had to continue on. Well the one season the Jacksons were on didn't hurt their recording career that much and they went on to make several more platinum selling albums. The long period that Donny was on the aire though did hurt his recording career for the over-exposure he got from the show made the public get bored with him and to regard him more as a clown rather than a serious recording artist (and he was for he was versed in playing multiple instruments and an accomplished songwriter too). The songs he sang didn't help either for most of them were old hits from the 50's with the exception of their best song to date, 'One Bad Apple' and I'm not sure he sang that one (I think his brother Merrill sang lead on that).

The other reason was the 80's hit. Now in the 80's it wasn't cool for whites to sing R&B type music for the rock musicians had been working for a while to create this hate Disco movement because it's popularity displaced them in the market and hurt their record sales. Now Donny Osmond was basically an R&B/pop singer in style and he was the wrong color at that time so he was sunk before he got good out of the port. In the meantime, Michael Jackson had just put together a little record called 'Thriller' and was making music history with a tour to boot called 'Victory' from the Jacksons album of the same name. For Donny though acts like him were out and Motley Crue was in as acceptable 'white' entertainment. Hey I didn't write the book, I just read it like it says.

Well eitherway near the end of the 80's a dude named Maurice Starr the producer of New Edition jumpstarted the boyband movement with acts like New Kids on the Block and Fine Young Gentlemen thus the Donny Osmond's of the world were back in vogue. But by this time Donny was married with a couple of kids and years of hardened experience under his belt from trying to navigate the Hollywood scene, so not really the teen heartthrob material of the day though he did drag a couple of hits out of this time, 'Soldier of Love' and 'Sacred Emotion'. It's unfortunate that the cards played against him this way for Donny Osmond is a really talented entertainer and we all expected that he would be as big a star perhaps bigger than Michael Jackson. For I don't know what those record companies out there be thinking but when Michael Jackson released 'Off the Wall' his first big selling solo record, we were waiting to see what Donny would do next. I think he released an album with his sister at that time and that's not what we were looking for.

Now I got the title of my story from an interview I saw of Donny's years ago where he expressed some envy at Michael Jackson's success and disappointment at his own failures. Well Donny after seeing you in the interview the other day I sensed some of that envy still and I couldn't understand it. Yes Michael had all of this major success with his recording career but look at all the trouble he had also. False accusations of the most terrible kind, extortion attempts and successes, lawsuits flying every which way possible, enough trouble to drive a man early to his grave; and it did just that for him. Now three kids are left without their father surrounded by opportunists and sychophants(with the exception of their family members of course) looking to bleed them of their inheritance. In all likely-hood Donny will be around to see his kids grow up, get married, and see some grandkids at some point. So Donny mega-stardom may not have been in the cards for you, but you got dealt the best hand.

Michael Jackson was then besieged to instant stardom when his album "Thriller" released in 1982. It holds the record for being the planet's top selling album of all time. He also revolutionized the concept of music videos by transforming it from a trifling promotional tool to a ground breaking art form. Controversies were part and parcel of his wonderful life. Whether all of the claims vented on Michael Jackson were true or false has still to be seen. Michael Jackson married twice. His first better half was Lisa Presley whom he married in 1994 and whom he divorced 2 years on. He then married Debbie Rowe in the November of 1996 and had 2 youngsters but Debbie and MJ ultimately divorced three years after.

Michael Jackson Will You Be There

Michael Jackson Will You Be There
Count on the bloviating Reverend Al Sharpton to taint the memorial service to Michael Jackson held in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009. Not the first time the consummate media- seeking irreverent reverend has done something of this nature. And, as long as he deems himself the spokesman for all of black America, and as long as black America allows him to perpetuate that false image to the rest of us, it won't be the last.

In his overstated sermon/lecture during a Sunday service in Los Angeles leading up to the memorial service held on Tuesday, Al suggested in no uncertain terms that Michael Jackson was a victim of racial injustice during his lifetime and perhaps moreso now in his death. Even at the memorial service there was an undertone of disenchantment in Sharpton's remarks

Sermonizing Sunday, from the pulpit of the First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles, Sharpton lamented the media coverage of Michael Jackson's death.

"I am here because of the disgraceful and the despicable way some elements of the media have tried to destroy the legacy and image of Michael Jackson," he ranted to the congregation, alleging the media have different standards for black and white celebrities.

"You have had other entertainers that have had issues in their life," he said. "But you did not degrade and denigrate them... Show the same respect for Michael and Michael's family that you showed Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley."

(Note to Reverend Al: There are countless books in your neighborhood library detailing the myriad shortcomings of both of these performers.)

Hogwash, Reverend Al! You of all people rightly know the media has handled Jackson's death with kid gloves, mostly ignoring his ultra-weird lifestyle, cosmetic surgery altering shenanigans, and multiple child molestation allegations while broadcastings countless hours of tribute and adoring attention to his pop legacy. So much so that it has become almost nauseating and grossly overstated. Statements by such folk as Barry Gordy and others that Michael Jackson was "the greatest performer the world has ever known" and "There will never be anyone like him again!" are ridiculous to the extreme and so superfluous as to be comical in nature.

Jackson was a great showman and he will have his place in American pop culture for sure. He sold millions of albums, was a world-wide phenomenon in his time - which had long passed as of his death - and has legions of adoring - and forgiving - fans. That does not deserve the status of "world's best all-time" anything even taking into account the emotional nature of his premature death and the tendency by some to make emotion laden statements not well thought out in a time of being somewhat distraught.

Michael Jackson was an American success story who lived the glamorous lifestyle to the nth degree, accumulated hundreds of millions of dollars in wealth, and was a role model for other aspiring performers desiring success in the fickle world of music. He entertained us and some loved his music and dancing. His life was tragic at times. He proved to be mortal in the end and that is the fate of us all. That and nothing more.

That Sharpton would use this tragic event as a headline grabber, a media attention getter, and as another self-serving promotion of his own agenda is disgusting at best and revolting at its core. He offended millions of Americans who adored and supported Michael Jackson throughout his life and were saddened in his dying, especially white Americans without whose support in their buying of his records there would not have been the Jackson phenomenon in the first place.

And make no mistake about it - in his criticism of the media for a lack of sensitivity and for a lack of understanding black culture, there is another of Sharpton's hidden racist accusations to all of white America. "I don't think the media understand who Michael was,'' Sharpton was quoted as saying in wire reports. ``I don't think they (read 'whitey') have any cultural significance.'' As if Sharpton is the only one who truly understood Jackson and black pop culture while the rest of us white folk are insensitive and racist.

Sharpton has long been a purveyor of the politics of 'victimization' and he has refined that approach throughout his rise to prominence. From way back in the race-baiting days of his Harlem based preacherhood, when he made a complete fool of himself during such off- the-wall antics as in the 'Tawanna Brawley' incident, Sharpton has made his livelihood selling racism as black peoples' shackles in white America.  He has prospered in that approach oftentimes alienating white America.

At one time a fiery preacher, he has now become a comic caricature of himself surfacing whenever and wherever he sees a media opportunity to promote no issue other than Al Sharpton. How can we be surprised that he would pop up at this time of mega media exposure reporting, to an excess, the death of a pop legend to grab an opportune share of the attention, controversy, and fame intended to honor Michael Jackson?

Shame on you, Reverend Al Sharpton! Shame on your self-serving ways and your insatiable quest for misappropriated media attention at a time like this. I feel sad for what you have become.

Michael Jackson deserved better.

(Post Script: And shame on you, the media, for your unending coverage of this nincompoop and for providing him a forum for his racist agenda.)

Do your part in keeping the Michael Jackson flame glowing ; buy Michael Jackson shirts from www.mjmerchandise.info .
